YouTube was barely 2 years old.

Force Feedback Wheels were only just on the market.

The first Direct Drive wheelbase wouldn't come to market for 15 years.

In August 2007 InsideSimRacing (aka ISR) posted their first Youtube video - as Sim Racing Tonight and would become the first significant YouTube Channel for the Sim Racing community.

Run by Shaun Cole (now at the SimPit) and Darin Gangi, ISR had an incredible run of 21 years and included some venerable hosts and co-hosts throughout its' long and impressive run such as Jessica Lopez, John Sable and Billy Strange. While I've lost track of the former 2, Billy ran his own Sim Racing Channel for a while (I should know as I designed his logo).

Since wrapping up in early 2018, Darin briefly attempted a restart but in the years since, the channel has laid dormant. SIRA is excited to see its' long overdue return - scheduled for August 18th 2025.

In the meantime check out ISR's inaugural video below from 2007 and see how far things have come!
