Honestly, you get NO 'cutesy miniature racing titles' for a while, then suddenly 2 come along at once.
If you've had a keen eye on the stunning Formula Legends title (which already has a free playable demo so go get that), then you'll need your other keen eye on forthcoming iRacing Arcade.
iRacing Arcade (IRA) is a third-person racer developed by Canadian developers Original Fire Games (OFG), who laid the groundwork for IRA with their 2023 cutesy racers Karting Superstars and Circuit Superstars. It's also unbelievable they state in 2023 they are a 5-man team, though perhaps they've expanded slightly to develop IRA...
iRacing Arcade itself will include features seen in those 2 aforementioned titles, such as Licensed (but miniature!) Cars and Tracks, Pitstops, Driver/Vehicle Customisation, Global Leaderboards - hell, even the HUD is identical to those 2 previous titles!
The extra sauce here appears to be world-building, where Players and their Team earn resources to hire Drivers and invest in bigger and better Buildings to help improve their vehicle performance - which sounds like it will add an extra dimension to what can at first glance appear to be 'just' a cutesy racer in the iRacing universe.
Content confirmed so far are the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car,
Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit (Mexico), Imola circuit (Italy). SIRA can see what is possibly a simplified version of Road America (USA), but really - expecting accurate full circuits for a game of this type is somewhat naive.
But the bigger question SIRA has, is: what Racing Series will IRA include, given that the developers previous titles included Karts, GT3, LMP, Le Mans sports cars, Dirt Oval Racing, Supertrucks, Caterhams... - I feel there's certainly a lot more to be revealed!
iRacing Arcade is slated coming 'This Fall' (September-November) for PC, and for Consoles in 2026.
