iRacing Studios to produce standalone INDYCAR game in 2026

Separately to INDYCAR content within iRacing itself - iRacing Studios have agreed a long-term agreement to produce standalone INDYCAR titles for Steam, PlayStation and Xbox starting in 'the second half of' 2026.
This will mean the first dedicated INDYCAR game since Codemasters' IndyCar Series 2005 in, yes... 2005.
This news will undoubtedly please iRacing and INDYCAR fans alike - as well as the larger Sim Racing community as we should see more quality racing titles coming to consoles. Though where these iRacing x INDYCAR titles will sit on the important scale of 'Hardcore to Casual Racer' is yet to be seen.
Alongside the recent announcement of iRacing Arcade being in development by Original Fire Games in Canada, the iRacing I.P. ecosystem is expanding rather nicely.
