Automobilista 2 (AMS2 for short) is a motorsports racing simulator for PC created by Reiza Studios, lead by Brazil-based Renato Simioni and with a global team. The title features over 170 Cars, Trucks and Karts across multiple classes and Formulae, and over 50 tracks with nearly 190 layouts.
Due to its' South American origins, the title includes many Cars, Circuits and Classes from that part of the world, which is unique and somewhat refreshing in a marketplace saturated with European or North American-centric content. For example: AMS2 includes the officially licensed Brazilian racing series Stock Car Brasil and Copa Truck.
AMS2 also includes a considerable number of unofficial F1 and related-class Cars from many eras, moreso than any other single title SIRA can think of. Due to licensing limitations these are provided in fictional liveries 'out of the box', though 3rd party modders often create official skins and liveries to allow Players to experience races with more accurate grids.
There are also a growing number of officially licensed F1 cars from Brabham, Lotus and McLaren ; CART cars from Lola and Reynard ; GT1, GT3 and GT4 cars from Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, BMW, Chevrolet and Porsche. Reiza have recently announced licensing of the Aston Martin marque.
At time of publishing, AMS2 offers 25 DLC packs on Steam of various Car Packs and Circuits, as well as Season Passes which include many individual DLC's combined.
AMS2 is built using the Madness Graphics Engine and Seta Tyre model developed by Slightly Mad Studios (now defunct) for the Project Cars series.
