GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game' or simply GTR2 to many of us- was the second of many Sim Racing titles from Swedish developer/publisher SimBin (later Sector3 studios, now KW Studios Ltd.) released in 2006 for Windows.
The game simulates the official FIA GT Championship racing series from 2003 and 2004, as well as the Spa 24 Hours and includes Single Player and Multiplayer modes, Practise, Time Trials, Race Weekends and Championships.

GTR 2 also increases the car count from its predecessors' 14 to... well, anywhere between 16 (as currently listed on Steam) to 39 or 140 (likely mods being counted).

Some significant Tracks of the period were included such as Imola, Donington Park, Hockenheim, Dubai Autodrome and SIRA-favourite Magny-Cours which has been sorely missed from many Sim Racing titles since!
The game was even better received than its predecessor and is still regarded by Sim Racers as one of the best titles in Sim Racing history.
Since release, the title has been heavily modded by the community such as adding new Cars including open-wheelers ; hundreds of add-on tracks such as the infamous Nordschleife ; and VR and 4K support.
SimBin renamed themselves to Sector3 in 2014, before being acquired in January 2022 by German automotive parts manufacturer KW Automotive who renamed the the company to KW Studios. KW Studios would go on to create RaceRoom Racing Experience in 2013.
Fun Fact
GTR 3 was planned, but cancelled. Some consider forthcoming title Project Motor Racing as a spiritual successor to the GTR series.

A superb selection of GT cars, many more than in GTR
Great Track selection, some rarely seen since in Sim Racing titles (Magny-Cours for example)
Has been heavily modded since release - with hundreds of Cars and Tracks available from sources such as Overtake.gg (formerly Race Department)
The less good
Nothing SIRA can think of!
