RACE 07 – The Official WTCC Game - Game Guide

Race 07 - The Official WTCC Game Game' is a 2007 Sim Racing game from SimBin simulating the 2007 FIA WTCC Season and following on from previous title Race (which simulated the 2006 WTCC season). Notably it includes simulation of the 2006 WTCC series within its content.

Again like its predecessor and related GTR/GTR 2 titles it was only released for PC (Windows). Race 07 can still be bought from Steam, either standalone or as part of the SimBin Mega Bundle at time of this article.

The game includes considerably more Cars than its predecessor, with some 300 cars across 9 classes. Same goes with Tracks ; a claimed 300+ including all DLC's.

As of 2025, 'Multiplayer is only available with installation of the Steam client and registration for an account with Steam.'

Race 07 was followed in 2011 by the final in the series ; Race Injection.

SimBin renamed themselves to Sector3 in 2014, before being acquired in January 2022 by German automotive parts manufacturer KW Automotive who renamed the the company to KW Studios. KW Studios would go on to create RaceRoom Racing Experience in 2013.

The good

• Follows directly on from the highly regarded GTR2 with WTCC cars replacing GT cars

• Some unique tracks at the time, particularly Macau which was rare in Sim Racing titles
